>>>"the Democratic Party is not monolithic. We have a revolution going on within our party"

Yes, and in the midst of all that is a lot of flailing about and reacting angrily to everything right wing. This is the only reason I would venture any advice at all, because it is an opportunity. As crazy as it may seem, during times of disorientation, people are the most prone to consideration of new ideas. I have advice for republicans too but now is not the right time to offer it.

Please don't take this too personally but regarding, "There is no side to their story," I say, So what? Do you honestly believe slavery will be brought back by the Republicans, or that minority rights will be rescinded? Maybe some over the line entitlements will be curbed but we have checks and balances for governmental abuses don't we. I know they frustrate you but you are old, seasoned, and hopefully wise in your experience. Let go of petty bickering with a "side" you don't feel has any validity (they are feasting on that) and serve to pave the liberal way. It seems you have good intentions and don't wallow in disgusting flame wars like some of the extremists here. You could be a lantern in the forest if not for all the distraction. Just a thought.
