Here is Mike Shedlock on Snowden mishtalk.com and the evil-doing criminals who contrive to get themselves into positions of total power hiding like cockroaches in the NSA and CIA. If they had nothing to hide, they'd have nothing to fear - to coin a phrase they think regular humans should take seriously. Their silly excuse is "Oh we are a top secret 12 year old boys club where we are doing battle with the bad guys over yonder so you can't know our great secrets". When I was 11 or 12 we had such gangs to deal with, marauding the neighbourhood attacking anyone they liked. Fortunately, most people grow up and if better socialized turn into tolerable citizens who try to keep families, jobs, house, car and garden on the straight and narrow. But those who don't end up being those people who Mish describes therein such as Clapper, Pompeo, Huckabee, Clinton who are large scale crime scenes in self-dealing megalomania. If Trump is going to drain the swamp, he must start in-house which is what the swamp is. After 6 decades of watching world-wide politics in general and USA in particular [from about age 8 - my family discussed politics and reading the newspaper and anything that stayed still gave me the interest] I am under no illusions that Trump will be doing anything that I think is particularly good. Alex, Koan and co seem to think Trump backers are excited paid up cheerleader fan club members. Perhaps some are. Less bad and hopefully not dire is the best I hope for. Not having a nuclear war is about all I hope for. If I was in charge of draining the swamp, it would happen faster. Snowden and Assange would be home. H Clinton would be in gaol for selling state services to foreign people and threatening to drone Julian Assange, starting the war in Ukraine which led to the airliner that could have been me being shot down, etc. Clapper and co would be in the slammer. The leeches and mosquitoes in the swamp would be finished. CO2 spending would be finished [other than as regular atmospheric science rather than a political ideology]. Invaders would be treated as invaders. Look how much money the Iranians made from a few American hostages - $hundreds of millions in cash [about $1 billion]. Round them up into concentration camps. When their families have paid enough ransom, take them to the border and send them on their way. Same treatment for anyone who threatens infidels, Jews, homosexuals, women, etc - into the cage and released when sufficient cash has been paid and "conversion" has been made. I expect nothing much to change with Trump. Shovel-ready money will be distributed much as usual despite talk of rebuilding infrastructure. Meanwhile, the dark interregnum you described decades ago is coming due sooner rather than later. People talk of 'debt jubilee' as though it's a good thing. I agree regarding loans to people such as Saddam Hussein [Russia whined when loans to Iraq were abrogated by the victors] and the long-gone Greek governments. But people who borrow money should repay it. Bankruptcy laws seem to work reasonably well to handle out of control debt and debtors. Trump will get lots of new building projects approved around the world. He'll have a couple of lovely new 787s to replace the elderly 747s. 787s can really zoom around the skies. The little Trumpmobile has limited range and far fewer accoutrements such as missile defences and communications. He will be living in the manner to which he likes to be accustomed. Gold doorknobs throughout. Mqurice
