Mike, you have no credibility left. Internet companies have already made tons of money. TPRO is already making millions in Y2K embedded systems work or are you not doing any DD. TPRO is the only company out their in force and they have the entire market. Who cares if the office computers Y2K pie is bigger or not. Those companies are going to get only a piece of the pie, TPRO is eating from the whole pie.

Mike you are doing absolutely no DD. These are simple issues that you raise but really if you spent the slightest bit of effort to gather the facts you would avoid sounding so ignnorant. I hope you take this as constructive criticism. You are entering this thread totally exposed, while others have been doing their DD. I can tell you that your style and lack of homework is insulting to the well-researched types on this thread.

Please do your DD before you post. You have posted many mistakes and I have to believe they are intentional.

Sincerely,
Jack Zahran

Mike,

New Britain General Hospital
Douglas Raineault, VP Engineering
100 Grand Street
New Britain Ct.

Contact him and get his opinion on embedded chips in a medical
environment.

I'll wait for your answer. I have had a conversation with him and
know his opinion. I look forward to your opinion on his opinion.
Remember, he has only been in medical engineering for 20+ years.
Give him a break.

Bob

Mike,

Interestingly, you have ignored my post #8138. Certainly, that's your choice. But, just in case you missed it, I'll ask you the same question.

You apparently have no financial stake in TPRO. You've indicated you're very busy. Why are you here, spending your valuable time?

Is this just altruism? I've enjoyed the technical exchanges but am still curious about your motive?

Stu

Dear Mike: You say, " I maintain that a company cannot make money fixing Y2K problems in
embedded systems." you went on to say that you would explain why later.

I am really looking forward to this story. First off, as I understand it TPRO will assist in IDENTIFYING those systems which are suspect (this is greatly assisted by their huge database). As to who will fix it or replace it, that is a seperate question. TPRO will work on an hourly fee basis, I suspect that it will be cheaper in most cases to merely replace the offending system. It that case TPRO may serve in some type of consulting capacity, I would think that most of TPRO's clients being fortune 500 types have their own engineers capable of making replacement once directed to the faulty item to be replaced. Anyhow, I am really wondering why you would make a statement like you did. I find it unfathomable, which is why I am looking forward to your further enlightenment. JDN
