ALL-'98 avg selling prices and total drive inventory

This has been a fantastic thread to lurk on and I thank everybody for the great info. I'm curious what people are forecasting for '98 disk drive prices. Secondly, how much total inventory is there? I understand most of the OEMs use just in time inventory and must be pretty lean (maybe 1 month of inventory on average?) How much other total inventory is out there? Do VARs carry a lot of inventory? I understand there have been some one-off events like the Micropolis liquidation, but are we getting close to working off excess inventory? Thanks very much in advance.
