Hi Serendipity,

If NOVL moves 1/4 that's over 3%. If MSFT moves $3 that's a little over 2%. A 10K share trade normally will fill in a few minutes, 45 minutes is plenty of time to fill an order between the bid and ask, say at $7.03. I agree that 3:59 probably isn't enough time to fill a 10K order before the close, and that the move above 8 was a resistance breaking move. It's very probable that you could get 8 1/4-8 3/8 in the first half hour of trading Monday before the next pull back.

A move from 7 to 8 is over 15%. I don't know of any trader anywhere that would not be extreamly pleased with a 15% profit in two days. In a lot of ways NOVL makes a better trading stock than QCOM or MSFT because it doesn't get SOES'd to death. The percentage movement is there but it isn't profitable in 1K lots. It's fairly predictable using TA, but you have to get used to some of it's nasty habits. You also have to avoid talking yourself into believing it's in a turn around situation. It's not. It will probably take Novell another 3 quarters to show a profit. I think it will break 9 before the end of this quarter but that will likely be the last time you see 9 for quite a while. Good luck.

Regards,

Don
