I am curious to see how you spin this!

How about some reality? Both FDR and Obama had something in common. They both had to take over after the previous Republican presidents practically destroyed the nation with their bad economic ideas.

The people voted in FDR after three successive Republican presidents Warren Harding and Coolidge, drove us into the Great Depression. A depression so terrible, that people that experienced it talked about it to the end of their days.

You right-wingers completely blow my mind. You dump on FDR and Obama, and completely omit the fact that it was Republican presidents that practically destroyed the country economically that led to the election of both FDR and Obama.

Don't you think it's sort of important to mention the depression the economy was in when FDR won the presidency in 1932 and Obama picked it up in 2008?

At the end of George Bush's presidency, we had the greatest collapse since the Great Depression.

Bush's Treasury Secretary Paulson got on his knees and begged Nancy Pelosi to bail us out with massive support from the Fed. He asked for $186 billion with no strings attached to keep AIG afloat.

But somehow you right-wingers completely forget to mention the tremendous depression that both Harding and Bush drove this country into that Obama and FDR had to rescue us from.

Is it that you don't know the history, or don't care to mention it?

Nonsense. Keynes is still taught today, but not Friedman, except by the right wing.

<<

>> Keynes was considered an Einstein of his day.

But where would Einstein be today if everything he did had proved to be wrong?

None of the people you mentioned knew Keyes as well as Milton Friedman. And Friedman has stated that Keynes, himself, would have acknowledged his own theories were wrong had he lived a little longer.

FDR did what he had to do to put people to work, and that was fine. But we know that the wild spending DID NOT bring about an economic recovery. Simply didn't. You have heard of the Roosevelt Recession.

Ultimately, it was the end of WWII that brought about the end of the recession.

The fundamental misunderstanding of the Left today is that economic recovery requires economic growth. The reason we have not had a real recovery under Obama is that he has done all the wrong things which have prevented a resurgence of growth. Growth means people in jobs producing stuff. It has nothing to do with consumption. You guys don't understand that.

Everyone in the country can consume crap for the next year but if there is no production there will be no productivity and the economy will still suck.
