Hi Mule:

Its ironic to me to listen to people talking about switching from eSchwab to Fidelity. I switched from Fidelity to eSchwab. For years, Fidelity and Schwab had been in virtual lockstep on commission rates. Schwab then starts eSchwab and Fidelity refuses to make a competitive response so I walk across the street (in Glendale, Ca) and switch to eSchwab. Now Schwab won't make a competitive response to Fidelity's lower rates so I guess I will have to re-cross the street, hat in hand, and beg Fidelity to take me back.
People should remember that it is not that easy to switch. You are out of action for a few weeks, there are usually exit fees, new software to install and understand and (almost guaranteed) things you won't like about your new broker.

Good luck,
John
