re: Japanese --somehow I think with their politicies they wanted
the yen to be cheaper whatever they said, hoping that exports revived
their economy..but they didn't take into consideration the even
cheaper prices from China,etc.
I thought it was bizarre when they raised personal taxes...self destruction plus..somebody very wise said that the US has been
importing inflation to the Asian nations for a very long time..
and now look what has happened..
Joseph Carson thinks that the Asian "pothole" will have greatest
repercussions in first half of year(he wasn't quoted as saying it
would also help cloud diminished earnings of multinationals which
probably would have happened anyways..just guessing)
He says that the lower interest rates here will more than offset
the Asian crash and strong inflows of money should sharply back up
rates in the end..he partially used history as his guide..he said
after major crashes ..stronger growth followed twelve months out
because of lower interest rates...that is why probably some are becoming bullish on commodities in the second half..the beat goes on.
