Re -- MSFT competition.

Also MSFT has the Govt and the state AGs breathing down their backs. If Intel had the Govt the stock would have taken a beating, and we would have Kurlack preaching the end of Intel, but with MSFT no way ( it only goes down 1 week, and fully recovers the next)

I don't have too much to disagree with you re:post 43769. one thing though if MSFT wants to do a promo they could give millions of copies away to gain market share with only limited extra costs(Netscape). Intel could never do the same with hardware(vs. AMD). But if you think that hardware is the way to go to make money in the next 5-10 years who am I to disagree.
