Alex, there's endless amusement from USA politics. Maybe that's its purpose - as an adjunct to Hollywood Fantasia and Chicago's Nigga Rap. In revenue share, Washington is streets ahead of other modes of entertainment, even having their own printing press for when they run a bit short of cash.

It's hard to divine purpose in life, even if one sticks with causal effects rather than correlation, true believing, gut feel, "I know my daughter's husband who is a CO2 expert", magic, superstition, religion, Settled Science, not to mention plain old dishonesty, fraud, scamming and hoax. Perhaps the entertainment from USA politics is like the peacock's tail - not particularly useful in mortal combat in life, but attractive in mating rites, so grows like Topsy.

Anyway, thanks for that early morning amusement.

Would that be the same 16 USA intelligence agencies who warned dramatically of Saddam's WMDs ready to launch on New York in 45 minutes so it was imperative to charge into Baghdad to save the world? Ooops, thousands of dead USA soldiers later, a $trillion or so, tens of thousands maimed, 100,000 traumatized, not to mention God knows how many million lives of Iraqis destroyed - apparently all in an effort to protect human rights because Saddam was a real vicious man. 'We had to kill the village to save it." Plus ca change.

Heck, even as I write, hordes of people in Mosul are being killed, maimed, traumatized with great property damage to boot. USA supported Saudi Arabia who supported ISIS/ISIL/Daesh/AlQaeda/JihadLBGTQWERTY who were SUPPOSED to attack Assad and his lovely wife Asma and destroy Syria, replacing them with ISIS. But they went postal on Iraq instead and started head-hacking all over the place, burning alive in cages and all sorts of evil [feminists like Islam though - something odd in their theories on women] and going awol in Europe and USA. Oops a daisy. That's like Osama bin Laden back in the day was meant to stick to attacking the Great Gorby, but he went postal on the USA, felling the Twin Towers and a lot more besides. Plus ca change.

I watched an interview with Noam Chomsky last night - he would help explain it to you. YouTube no doubt can get it for you. I disagree with him on Israel, but he gets a lot of stuff right.

I put no trust in USA intelligence - they are the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf.

But even if Russia and Putin in particular did pull out the Cyberspace stops and did get the emails and changed the voting machines to boost Big Don over Reset Hillary, so what? The last thing Russia would want is a 3am Hillary drunk in charge of the launch process. Big Don is awake at 3am and sober so of course they'd prefer him. He'll be making deals at 3am with Putin - "You can export gas to Europe if I can build buildings across Russia with no town planning hassles or kleptocratic klutzes messing me around". "You can take over Ukraine totally if you like, if I can have the rebuilding contract."

The USA insists on interfering in elections and doesn't even bother waiting for elections. Have you heard of F-Bomb Nuland and Kiev and Maidan and the coup there and did you not know that Clinton, Kerry, Rice, Powers, Mills, and the Harpy coven were keen to take over Crimea, oust Russia and install NATO rocketry just south of Moscow and cutting off Russia from sea routes to the Mediterranean. Russia was just returning the favour if they did in fact do anything and it's not just the usual USA "military intelligence" inventing some stupid thing in the disestablished Office of Disinformation.

I learned just a few days ago that one of my great great grandfathers was injured in Crimea and died as a result of his injuries. Nearly 200 years later, it's pretty well time to stop trying to take over Crimea. We got the 1812 Overture from Napoleon's effort. Great Britain was not so great in The Charge of the Light Brigade. Operation Barbarossa with blitzkrieg panzers looked good for a start, but ran out of steam and the Berlin Wall was the result. How about cease and desist!!

A 2017 centenary commemoration of 1917 WWI in France which was the war to end wars would not be a good idea. Now hypocritical politicians say "Lest We Forget", lay wreaths and carry on stupid even while preparing the most spectacular re-enactment of WWI but this time 20 megatons at a time instead of artillery in the fields of Flanders. Will Barack go out with a bang? A 20 megaton bang? Clinton and he were heading that way. They could still do it as Trump doesn't take over for a couple of months yet. Perhaps that "intelligence" you provided is part of the build up to doing as they did in Iraq - Russia certainly does have WMDs ready to launch at New York, unlike Iraq, and they won't take 45 minutes to launch.

So the Washington Whiners should not bleat about Russia Cyberspacing the election, even if true, because that's understandable and a reasonable tit for tat response to the attack in Ukraine promulgated by the Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama, whose Clintonian sidekick asked "Can't we just drone this guy?".

It would be a reasonable question for Vladimir to ask "Can't we just drone that woman? What about polonium 210 in her vodka?"
