Ole-- Still in Italy. I've no idea where to get any gold coin quotes (except, I suppose, from a dealer). The Italian economy is doing fine and is expected to do even better this year, but there seems to be a good deal of concern about the move to the Euro. Purely anecdotal information from friends who work for banks suggests that very little has been done to prepare for the switchover, and not much more thought as been given to the Y2K problem. Could, and probably will, be a mess. Peter, who looks like a furry Tyrannosaurus Rex with a puffy cottontail, still believes the short-term trend for gold is down. Janice
