Al,Actually, "the times they are a changing" Most now use plastic tubing,which gravity feeds right down to the holding tanks. You still have to tap(drill) the tree and install nipples and tubing. Some of the upstate robber barrons use pumps and suck the sap from the tree-generally resulting in damage to whole groves of trees(called a sugar bush,-I could really get myself in trouble here so I won't be witty<g>)..DD
