i read the "drug deluge" article, along with a few others: all of it certainly makes a strong case for consolidation as the only insurance for many to remain viable in the near future. and that would encompass the "leaders" as readily as the "laggards" so it would appear... i wish there were a simple way to divine exactly what we have on our "list" of near term manufacturing as to in-hand generics/prospects/long shots/r&d plans..... i know there is the penchant for privacy where sensitivity exists; but then again, bms managed to pierce that veil. given that list to match against the drugs soon to be off-patent we could be real matchmakers... no doubt this sector consolidation wave will be a theme for '98. and for ivax? i would not be surprised.
