Thanks for the lead. The "Chatterbox" seems to be a decent product, judging from the review. Nothing to do with telephony. Tries to use commercial parts, consolidates servers. But CHAT seems to be a little shaky financially - just got a $540K loan to help out last month.

I guess surprises lurk in the pennt stocks. A Wall Street Journal summary of 1997 listed the percent gains for the year last week. The winner on NASDAQ was AmintPete wtAAIPNW for a 2,182.5 percent gain. Went from 1/16 to 1 3/8. But, the Motley Fool says 85 percent of stocks traded below $5 eventually go to zero, so great rewards are mixed into the greater risk area.
