Didn't realize just how much I had missed The Brink until he shared his wonderful sense of humor early in the show....I was riding my bike on the beach listening to the show through headphones when he made that joke about Nebraska being #1....just about fell off my bicycle laughing, must have been quite a site to the others on the beach......my sides are still aching.

>>I'm glad BB said he has the right to not read adds he doesn't approve of.<<

Me too, Kirk, but what worries me is that shortly after that announcement, an ad for BB's newsletter aired, and, it was read by . . . . someone OTHER than BB.

Seriously, we are very fortunate that Truman is back, and Bob will do the show at least another year. I'm almost WISHING for the onset of a bear market just so we can learn from Bob's insight under much different market conditions.

>I wonder if Wade Cooke cut his teeth touting thinly traded stocks on AOL to learn the trade?<

Wade Cook cut his teeth ripping people off in the real estate world. After those scams had pretty much run their course, he turned his attention to Wall St. There are some fascinating articles written about the guy -- Oct. 1996 Smart Money has one for example. He is probably one of the most clever con men of the century. But while he may be totally devoid of ethics, he is certainly not stupid. His stock splitting scheme is brilliant. He's been in trouble with the S.E.C. before but he probably has better lawyers now.
