Paul, Re: irrational panic

First of all DO NOT FORGET that "Greenspan said a debate on the issue was hampered by faulty price measures and lacked clarity"

And also , "...'uncertainties surrounding the accuracy of our measured price indexes"

But the important thing for 1998 is, IMO, "...as producers in the battered region are expected to unload a glut of cheapened goods bringing down global prices. "

Also, "...not inclined to raise interest rates"

and, "...there is even a possibility of an easing."

A possible scenario:

a glut of cheapened goods means increased pc volumes because of lower pc prices
increased pc volumes = expansion of size of total market
increased pc volumes = more profit for INTC & MSFT
increased pc volumes = more growth faster rather than slower
increased pc volumes = increased worldwide productivity
increased worldwide productivity = increased worldwide standards of living = very, very good for worldwide stability
increased standards of living = increased chance of long term world-wide ecomomic
boom

Just an old optimists view. Anybody have a problem with this? I'm ready to hear it.

Barry

Paul Engel Sir

" Since you are expert in all aspects of Intel "
gp

Can i ask you 2 questions but don't give me the answer please

Thanks

1) If computer sell up 14 % for 1998
Intel only lose 2.5 % market shares ( from 90% )

1)What is the % of growth for Intel in 1998 ?
-----------------------------
Since you say you hold intel AVE @ one big $ pre share

2)You don't think intel is good enough and ( or )cheap enough for you to buy same more in last 5 years
