Hi Scott, I was raised Catholic (against my will <gg>) and know a lot of the rituals involved including the completely unscriptual waste of time praying to the saints and to Mary as if they can answer prayers. The only two powers at work are God's power and the other guy who is always deceiving and faking miracles. So if that guy is faking miracles in the name of saints or Mary then he has a plan behind it and it is not good for us. We have to carefully discern what is really going on. The scripture in Revelation 12 that you mentioned as being Mary I think is referring to something else. At that point the timeline seems to shift to a historical perspective outlining what God has done with Israel (the woman) and the events including satan and his angels being cast out of Heaven. The devils attemt to kill Jesus which backfired on him and God took Jesus to heaven and then hid Israel in the wilderness. For more perspective on that look at Isaiah 66:7-9. Also in verses 10-13 Jerusalem is referred to as a "her" and mother to the people in a mother/child way. Have a great day, Bob

Dear Scott, here is an area where Jesus would be most concerned we tread lightly. Among those who have serious concern about Mary are those that probably have been well educated in the Mother Goddess, especially for THIS TIME. She is about to make her reappearance, except there was never a she, only a "he" as in Lucifer. It's easier to have a more civilized nation kill humans to a "Mother" than to a "Father". It seems that little by little the harsh "Baal" became a beautiful chic somewhere along the line. The Celts still were happy to die for a carved statue of a beautiful women late in the game. By then the name had changed so many times there are just hundreds of them. All apparently directly traceable through the maze of word changes back to Eve. Don't worry about it too much, but do pray. This may one day be the oath we must take. That we worship Mary/Mother Goddess above all things on earth. This is the only uniting force for the Anti-Christ. EVERY culture has promoted their mother goddess holding the infant son, and it started under Nimrod. As did all present American satan worship. Everything goes back to Nimrod, in that exact period of ancient Bablyon. That and of courese the Indus Valley in India. The tie-in is something I've never been able to trace, because it involves highly skilled historical sleuthing, requiring access to books and records you just can't get anywhere. It's all buried there in history, proven too, not just someones blah, blah, just takes years of digging to find it's not all a strange fables made up for milleniums. It is easy to be offended in this. Just understand that if anyone says different, they are trying to warn you without blowing you out of the water in the process. I plan to put together a private web site with all this stuff, but can't get it done, unfortunately. Don't know if any of us ever will in time. Just a word of encouragement. I struggle with the Mary concept myself. It has become a strange rubic's cube.l

Dear Scott, hopefully I did not insult your intelligence sharing my thoughts on Mary. Unfortunately, I have a whole bunch of thoughts on Mary, and trying to put it all in perspective is important and you say, she WAS the mother of Jesus Christ, and I'm sure while He was in the flesh on Earth He loved her very, very dearly. So of course it is sticky-wicket, as they say. I didn't see that you were a Christian, and so therefore you are totally aware that there is only Christ and Satan. Scott, on these SI threads either sane and intelligent adults are kidding, or they slightly believe in a female diety, or IF there is a deity, chances are it could be female. I have even seen that bantered around on SI. And last year I caused some of the stranger feminists and CA hippy types to react very strangely, like VERY strangely, when I said the Mother Goddess is simply a manifestation of satan. I really got the evil eye. Almost like these women I was working with in an office setting suddenly became like "Children of the Corn". The looks I got. One looked at me like "ohhhhh, you shouldn;t say that, that's very dangerous..." and someone just visiting looked at me like, well, children of the corn. So they know, but yet they seemed to almost think SATAN was female.... and its like they really BELIEVE there is a big woman up there somewhere. Or down there somewhere. But a big woman, definitely. I don't know, it has all become so insane I'm just holding on until the Lord comes back. But there is a book called Return of the Mother Goddess and it is simply horrible, horrific, disturbing, hideous, you name it. And was up with picks of the months at the Library in Sonora CA where I read it. So....... Beware. In the book the author smirks" even now she makes her return, only thinly veiled at this point in time as the Virgin Mary." True. It was a very disturbing experience, and I felt I had to run out and tell everyone, and then I realized--hey, no one will listen anyway. Forget it. But I can't forget it. That's why I look very, very closely at statues and images and visions of "Mary" suddenly talking to everyone all over the place. Scott, it is cause for very, very serious alarm.. Trust me.
