Not really, and the more esoteric things get the more I apply my skeptics hat. I always try to keep both feet on the ground even as I contemplate the universe. I like the advice Picasso once gave to a person who asked him what he thought of modern art. He said first show me that you can draw a horse. I always try to work from the ground up. Learn the fundamentals first and then reach out intellectually. At times in the past I have made my living playing poker. And I do pretty good, and I'd don't do anything fancy to speak of, I just play ABC poker day in and day out. The kids, more often than not, think they can learn the game without studying it. But they are wrong and easy to beat because they never took the time to learn their hand values or probabilities of the draw in relation to the reward.. I think understanding reality works the same way. If one just simply concentrates on the fundamentals, on making sense, the big ideas will come. Too many people want to jump ahead of themselves. They don't want to do the hard grunt work of learning the basics, the hand values and the probabilities. I have to admit I don't have much patience with those people. The best way to learn is to read and study the great minds. That means no FOX news-lol. Just once in a while it would be refreshing to see someone ask a question-lol. Before I take advice from anybody, I want to first see them draw horse and next I want to assess their sanity-lol.
