GOOD SALT- The remnant called out by Christ.... But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14 "You are the light of the world. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." They, being so cleansed from Israel's uncleaness God also disassociated them from apostate Israel and they were constituted the remnant and called out seed of Jacob to whom God would give the Kingdom. God's plan and purpose with His nation would be fulfilled in a called out remnant, and therefore God called the remnant "the salt of the earth." Praise Him for His mercy. James
