There is no more contagion in the global warming debate than there was in the smoking debate. What the carbon energy companies are doing is the same thing the cigarettes companies did, spending billions of dollars in a disinformation program that is propagated by the Republicans, their masters.

That is the reality. As mentioned, my son-in-law's one of those in the 97%. He communicates with the top scientists in the world on a daily basis and has been responsible for several major discoveries including one that was so important they invited him to Vienna to present it to the world scientific community.

He is very honest and tells me there is no debate among the top scientists. "We know, he said".

There is no real argument here, only a false argument put forth by the Republicans like they do constantly. They are whores and why I've been a yellow dog Democrat for 50 years and never wavered for five seconds in the direction of the Republican Party.

They have not changed their venal ways in 100 years.

<<I don't have a position on the GW debate because there is too much contagion from the media, activists, and well meaning environmentalists. But what I do find offensive is brow beating from the right, or attempts at mob rule from the left. Neither advances the cause of greater understanding.
