i hope that your NV cabernets are at least 15 to 20 years old... (10 at worst case)
otherwise.. they must taste like green leaves tea.... (i.e. tannins are too harsh)

you ought to try blends, particularly those using garnacha (yes, that is the true name of
grenache, the grape comes from Aragon, near Barcelona... NOT france)...
GMSV = garnacha, monastrel, syrah, viognier (Rohne Valley)..... blends are far superior
wines than single varietal *with some notable exceptions* <cabernet sauv. is NOT one of those>
