today's signal was not so good as the metal and shares tracked -- but they will signal the bottom when they signal the bottom without respect to the dollar or interest rates ... it's tempting to think those things are determinants -- but they aren't

I think you're right, gold looks sick... all rallies should probably be shorted, that's how it has been forever with the gold market... but near term, we could see a small bounce since the dollar is backing down a bit for now...
