Does anyone know of a way to limit QP32 scans so that they only look at stocks, and don't waste time running through indices? Is an input statement the only way to do this? Does the same hold true for an indices or mutual funds scan? I tried IssueType Common, but that did not alter the scan habits.

Hi Doug Thanks for your reply it a big help getting feedback from everyone. I have seen BTW in other threads, what does it mean? Are you talking about Andy Gabor home page (he started the TA- Beginners thread). If it's a different Andy, please tell me his web site address. You say tc2k, "It has a number of features that are still not available in q+, that are excellent for the beginner." What are they? Thanks Tom

Hi Doug, thanks for reaching into your brain's archive to respond. I am trying to read the old post to get up to speed. But finding Andy's web site, I think that I will read only those post for getting caught up. I feel it is time to take what I have learn from Stan Weinstein's book Secrets for profiting in bull and bear markets and the TA- Beginners thread and start build my own system and using it on TC2k and QP. The features that you are talking about on TC2k are they: BOP TSV and Moneystream. Are there others? Looked at Andy web site and didn't find BTW. What is BTW? I have seen this in TA- Beginners thread also. I need to go to bed. Have a fantastic day Tom
