It's just an accounting story. The advantage is that it reduces taxes. Indeed rules bearing on the accounting treatment for the company require them to record substantial depreciation and amortization expenses where there is no direct economic loss.

For the moment all is well. There's nothing to worry about. The company generates a regular Free Cash Flow which accounts for about 18% of sales.
