To RLaird and ALL:
I believe the league officials are voting on reinstating
instant replay, soon.
The problem with instant replay WAS that it took the officials 1 hour to make the same decision that the crowd could accurately make in 1 second, looking at the same replay.

Here's what they SHOULD do:

Wally's NL Replay Rule #1-a,b,c,d:
a. If the crowd boos, or the visiting coach has a heart attack, the play is automatically reviewed.
b. If the crowd boos after seeing the replay, the call is automatically reversed.
c.(or b. alt) If the opposing coach pulls out a gun and shoots an official, the call goes in favor of that coach's team regardless of who was right or who booed at what. This is, of course, a decision for entertainment over sport. A no-brainer.
d. If it takes the officials longer then 3 seconds to make a final determination, the officials are automatically machine-gunned by a lucky fan chosen via winning ticket under his/her seat.
(Optionally, the fan may choose to banish the officials to South America where they will be required to officiate soccer matches).

What do you all think?
