Shouldn't have done that on my iPhone. Too much good stuff left out. Should've read:

Too late. At this moment I'm wearing flowered swim trunks in my car outside Safeway, waiting only to put together a shopping list for the semolina dishes I hope to make these next few days as the snow approaches. How much further to the dark side could I go? <ggg>

---

Dropped my youngest off at basketball practice, went to Safeway, bought the stuff on my list (ricotta, lemon, pine nuts, plus the requisite milk and beer that we'd run out of -- wasn't the best stuff I could've bought but that Safeway is close to my son's school), then picked up my son shortly after the flakes started flying. Looks like a good chance that school(s) will be canceled tomorrow. Am feeling ambivalent about that ... I would've had a day at home to myself now that I'm (temporarily!) unemployed, and now might have to share with 3 kids and a wife who would've normally attended, or been working in, a school.

Dang, so much I could've been learning online ... while wearing my customary at-home swim trunks "uniform". Contract work can be uncertain when cost-cutting is the way companies think they can improve.

Tomorrow, pesto chicken lasagne for the family dinner. Hence the pine nuts. With a spiced semolina pudding dessert. I hate to say that being unemployed does have its consolations. If only there weren't all these dang bills to pay :-)
