Even if Republicans had a lot more seats in the Senate, Mitch McConnell is taking delight in busting Trump's balls. He's still the main obstruction.

People who expect infrastructure spending or tax incentives for such - good luck. It's not happening while Mr Turtle lives.

McConnell was a total bitch to Obama, but it's primarily because Mitch is always a total bitch. Obama just happened to be in the White House at the time.

If I had to guess from what I've heard I think Trump and Ryan are going to be proposing a Federal Sales Tax to fund a comprehensive medical coverage for everyone. It's at least being discussed. It would effectively indirectly give private insurance companies the power to impose a nationwide sales tax sufficient for their needs, and they often feel needy.
