How do you figure $100 +- per month is paying thru the nose for health care in Canada.
There are no limitations on pre-existing conditions, and by the world health organization, ranks superior to Obamacare or any other program in the US. ? Plus it 45% less costly.
One of the reasons I keep my principal residency over six months per year in Canada.

Two things things I agree with Koan on. The US should be so lucky as to have something equivalent. Plus Canada's access to Education system is superior from kindergarten, trade schools colleges or Universities.

Not to mention the abundance of clean water, Fishing, Hunting and out door recreation, like Alaska is as good as it gets. On any given day year around I can count form 10 to 50 deer within a ten minute drive of our home. Lots of times on the property, visible from our deck. Moose, Elk, Grizzly Bear, Mountain Goat and Cougar, are a little higher up the Mountain off the valley floor.

While residing in the US we carry an out of country rider so as to protect an case of an emergency. We also subscribed to Sky Med on the 5 year plan for $55 Per month. Which immediately transports us back to a Canadian hospital plus brings our Motor Home back without surcharge should anything happen.
If I get concerned about not feeling well. It is only a three hour flight from Phoenix to Vancouver to have it checked out.

In BC residents can visit any hospital emergency facility and be treated, hospitalized or operated on any where in the province at no cost. The attending Physicians and surgeons can enter the social services number from your card and has complete access to your medical history to be sure the the treatment he is about to prescribe, is not adverse to, or conflict with other conditions you may may be subject to.

Canadian Medical also provides for assisted suicide by a Doctor. For those patients who no longer wish to live because the quality of life has been so diminished by the onset of a debilitating, or pain full incurable and terminal disease.

Canada does have a very decent health care program. And much more advanced civilization than your impression as implied by your posts.
