In this video I start up Acronis True Image 2016 WD Edition build32 to make a drive image.

The program opens in the Tools section, but I change it to the Backup section using the menu on the left side.

Since your thumb-drive is your only external drive, Acronis will automatically select it to write the image on.

My external is on H: but your external drive letter is probably different.

With the backup section open, all that's left to do is click the green "Back up now" button at the bottom right.

After the backup starts, just let it complete. It could take an hour or more to run.
