Robert,

I don't know when annoucement on earnings will come.
Haven't heard nor have I asked. I'm really not in the
mode where it is important to me. The fact that it is
coming sometime this month is good enough for me and
then only out of curiosity since I'm not going to make
any buy/sell moves based on it.

If I had to guess, I'd say the number will show the stress
and strain of low DRAM prices and a somewhat slower market
book to bill ratio but good enough to declare a good showing
considering. My guess is that a tech upward trend will hit
sometime by end of Q1 and take everybody up with it based on
expectations of better things to come, particularly in light
of the fact that the company has done TREMENDOUSLY well even
with DRAM in the tank. How's that for a wild guess? And please
do take into consideration that my lack of training and knowledge
in investing should negate anybody taking my thoughts seriously.

I'm buying regularly now and intend to buy until the stock reaches
70 again and probably stop then.

Regards, JB

Robert,

TI growth seen as fast and overall sales in '97
places TI in #4 versus #6 in '96 sales--not bad. I
believe the full story is via dataquest. Check it
out for yourself to confirm my quick glance.......

Maybe you'll get a multi-story beach house if this success
story can continue...................
