Re IBM. I don't think that IBM's management is above average, much less amazing. They have managed the company too long for just earnings/share and I think they are lacking in organic growth and can't seem to make it work with acquisitions either.

I would rather buy stalwarts like ORCL or MSFT.

What makes them extraordinary in your view? They've certainly not grown the company. (Co shows annual revenue decreases.)
