If Hillary were elected, you can bet that everyone would have continued to get their Social Security checks in their full amount and their Medicare. To the people getting that, that is all they care about. And Social Security and Medicare were not in imminent danger and easily fixed. But to just do away with them to enrich the plutocrats is criminal and that is exactly what Trump intends to do. When your friends and family lose Social Security and Medicare, or get it in vastly reduced amounts, tell them your theories.
