According to many HP users, you can upgrade your HP with the Philips firmware patch. Other than some specific compatibility problems, the CDD3610/HP7110 is a very good CD-RW. Unlike many other CDR, it doesn't has heat problem , does reliable burning compare to other CDRs and has a flash bios. The Adaptec s/w is probably one of the best s/w around but the bundle s/w in 7110 does not include a pre-master burning tool which disappoing many users including me. aC
