I use Safari as my primary browser, but it works with FireFox and Chrome, too... it seems to be more about how I navigate to the page than the hardware and software because in the last couple of months I have got a new MacBook Pro using 10.12 (vs. my old one using 10.6.X), a new iPad (Air 2) and my old phone and they all get me to my old yahoo finance spreadsheets I've been using for 20 years or more... I only use them for aggregates and snapshots, quick glance DD, etc. and use my TD and Fido accts for actual trades/decisions, but the yahoo spreadsheets are where I generate ideas (and watch lists -- I own 40ish stocks and have watch lists for another 60) and it still works well for me.
