But that code word "racism" is used mostly by the left against the right. My point all along for a very long time has been that it is not racism that influenced voting by the right - but a visceral fear of others. That they fear for their jobs. There way of life. That, that is nothing new. That people feared for their jobs from poor Irish immigrants and poor Polish immigrants and poor Scandinavian immigrants at different times in our past. It wasn't called racism then but somehow today it is. ...........And that this underlying fear is a complicated fear inherent in our DNA that we all posess - both left and right. That DNA is the same.
