OT 96% of our DNA is identical to chimpanzee DNA. Actually only about 4% of homo sapiens-unique DNA is Neanderthal.

We have much of their DNA in us and it is their DNA from being resistant to disease that we inherited from them that largely made it possible for us to be so successful.

Not to mention white skin, red hair and a 28 gene cluster that is implicated in autism.
