He was Deutche Morgan Grenfell's superstar analyst before moving to Hummer Winblad as a venture capitalist. news.com The data broadcasting prediction remains to be seen, but technically speaking, the DD sector looks ripe for a short-term bounce here. Sentiment was probably near an all-time low after cascading earnings shortfalls, Asian concerns, and year-end selling. IBM has almost always had the R&D lead; however, they're only the 4th largest producer of hard drives. I don't see that much of an impact in the near term from IBM's lead in Giant Magneto-Resistive technology. Philip
