If you delete the whole bunch, it simply slows down loading the sites you actually visit NOW a few seconds as opposed to loading lickety-split... no harm at all deleting ALL of them in one whack -- you'll only have to maybe login again on some sites and some graphics will load a bit less quickly. I purge my cookies regularly because I earn a living working with software engineers using every browser known to mankind and thus must purge my browser cookies regularly or suffer who knows what because I'm the first line of testing whatever it is the software engineers/programmers have "improved" in their web based software.

I'll bet you'd get a performance boost by clearing all the cookies out. I use Chrome, but clear all cookies multiple times during the day. I won't even go on to facebook without clearing everything, before and after visiting the site. Some are actually sneaky, yahoo and facebook like to leave their trail even after you try and clear everything cookies,files,cache,history,..I have to shut down the browser after clearing all to get rid of the last stored bits and pieces.
PS: I never select "stay connected" when I visit sites either, including here on SI.
(whether any of this actually helps, who knows-not a ditchdigger(g))
PSS: and I also select in settings not to accept any third party cookies, plus an adblocker

I sure am detecting a bit of either or here regarding growth vs.income on thread. I'm much more in the blend camp myself, both.
