I agree with your analysis John on the trading activity on Friday. While it was an impressive jump for a beaten down stock....the buying and selling volume does not look good. IMHO we are looking at least 6 months from now before we would see any positive movements on the upside, assuming the company and the whole sector stop killing each other. BTW, if you guys think taking a 30-40% lost after disappointing earning announcements is bad, I took a 40% haircut with TXN after company reported better than expected earnings, stock splits, etc.

You're right; vol Fri relatively light. But what volume there was was practically all Up volume - look at intraday. Nonetheless, I agree we need confirmation. As noted in orig post, today's action - 1st 'normal' trading day in a while - will tell us whether the reversal is an honest one or a blip. Gimme my a.m. dip and a p.m. recovery and I for one am a buyer.
