Sounds like you have been terminated. The question for a lawyer will be was it for cause. They will want to know all about your situation at work. Were you given notice of poor performance and/or bad behavior. Documentaion of this could take the form of performance reviews, notes from superiors, complaints from subordinates, clients, etc. Do you feel this was in retaliation for something? Are you being punished for political views? Is sexual harassment involved? Are you being racially discriminated against? these are all angles a lawyer would wish to pursue. Documentaion is KEY. Get together everything you have that supports your cause and try to arrange it logically. Do you have a union? They could be helpful.
