Most of my conservative friends support gay rights....true conservatives don't want to see anyone discriminated against... As far as being conservative, I don't believe in legalizing marijuana, I believe in a strong national defense, limited government, states rights, personal responsibility... I also support limited abortion rights as do most of my conservative friends...not the radical rights that a Hilliary or NARAL supports. I don;t believe in the "living Constitution"...but rather the one as written, I believe in American exceptionalism, a fairer simpler tax code, laissez faire policy toward business ...less regulation...I believe the DOE and Education Depts should be abolished. I believe the proposed tax cuts and spending are necessary to get our economy moving again...and get people back to work.

Actually Steve I do not see a contradiction there. You know sometimes when faced with something in one's own family you realise that this is the same person that has always had your back.. and you need to adjust... I am sure that many heterosexual gay supporters do not actually relish the thought of gay sex.. but that is moot.. what happens in the bedroom between consenting adults with no harm.. is not moot.. it is the point.. I doubt that professed Liberals are any better at accepting the act personally than Conservatives.. Live and let live those that help you prosper and harm no one. I have a relevant post that I have been thinking about for while.. not quite ready yet.. it will be on Sioux Nation soon.
