The ignorant and the stupid, which compose the largest group of the right wing, are, well, ignorant and stupid. The smarter ones will justify anything that they feel will give them the power to impose their sick vision of what America should be.

It's strange to see the right wing embrace our foreign enemies. I would have predicted their embrace of domestic policies antithetical to democracy- but I did not foresee their embrace of a foreign hostile power.
