I think he believes it was the best thing; but clearly it has been a failed strategy for policy achievements. But it doesn't have to be that way. There is no doubt Trump is reaching out like someone we haven't see before. If it is fake it will become apparent as he tires of it. But I think it is genuine. In spite of how well known Trump was going in, most people in the country know about him only what they heard during the campaign -- not the greatest of first impressions. I think we could see stuff getting done -- even bipartisanly, and without the fingerprints of Reid after he is safely back in Nevada.
