We seem to agree on a core issue. However, my observation is that the race issue is over flung. You say a white kid gets better treatment than a black kid. Hmm, maybe statistically but did the white kid have a long rap sheet or on probation when he got busted for using? Did the black kid? I never see these easy equivalencies getting flushed out.

Maybe there is nothing to flush, maybe there is but I am skeptical about easy equivalencies.
