In critical times, such as when the world was at war, we all benefited greatly from cool cerebral leadership from people like Dwight Eisenhower - and that's my preference.

It's people who can accurately assess and analyze problems who also can also provide or assemble the solution set to solve them.

You clearly want a therapist and cheerleader who will empathize with your feelings, help you collect your thoughts and find your own way out of your problems.

The Queen of England provided this with a look of concern and graceful wave while Churchill provided this with an alcoholic's gravelly theatrical voice and manner.

Others merely want to be entertained while they're enduring hardship, so they prefer a clown.
