That's standard length for depositions under the federal rules and many state rules of civil procedure.

I've had depositions of contractors and experts in construction cases that routinely run for multiple days. I think the longest one I've been involved in was of the corporate designee of a replacement general contractor that was five days long.

What got me was allowing the Chef a seven hour question time. That sounded excessive.
