Yeah, it is sobering sitting there in a room with 20 other lawyers in a big case and start counting the money being flushed for a single day.

I was disposed by 20+ lawyers in a double hotel room in NYC (1984).
One of the lawyers made off with my umbrella.
It lasted about 4 hours.

My old firm was defense liaison counsel in the Western Processing CERCLA case some years back. Meetings of defense counsel filled our conference room and were a license to print money.
