Re: Bullshit jobs

This is an important subject, rarely discussed. One way to look at jobs is that they are a way to become vested in society. They are proof that you are doing something to contribute. Unfortunately, many jobs are actually destructive to society.

We can, and will do better. Not only will the idea of a full-employment economy as desirable pass, but the idea of jobs will pass, and, sooner than you think, the idea of money will pass. Laugh if you must, but it seems inevitable...

We can get there in any number of ways. My best guess? [Short version] If and when do to global warming oceans rise and flood all the major coastal cities of the world, there will not be enough money to relocate everybody inland, so all the nations of the world will declare bankruptcy, and start doing what needs doing without money...

Humbly offered in the spirit of TEOTWAWKI...
