Paul:

Once the investment community concludes the G7 are serious about arresting the dollar bull, money will start to flow out of U.S. assets into the more undervalued assets such as gold and Asian stocks.

We agree on gold but disagree on other asset classes. I see gold, southeast Asian stocks, and Japanese small cap stocks -- the big losers last year -- as the big winners in 1998.

The current rally in U.S. stocks should peak in a matter of days. Even if there is no big selloff, risk/reward ratios very unfavorable. Bond yields may trough around 5.5% and then start up again with a vengeance.
