In this case, the enemy of your enemy is still your enemy.

Never forget that Trump is trying to carve out a third way of sorts. He has a vision of things that will continue being opposed by groups on both left and right that want the old economic order of things to remain the same.
The old economic order was to keep allowing in desperately poor and ignorant foreign migrants while simultaneously allowing middle class jobs to disappear.

That's why this was such an important election. Hillary was more of the same.
